CyArk is honored to be one of the finalists for this year’s East Bay Innovation Awards. In recent years the East Bay has become home to cutting-edge businesses and organizations, and the East Bay Innovation Awards are an annual celebration of the notable contributions these groups are making to local and global communities. The awards are put on by the East Bay Economic Development Alliance, and this year they are being sponsored by Chevron, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America. Previous awardees include Ecologic Brands, Tesla Motors, Ekso Bionics, and Pandora.

Since our founding in 2003, CyArk has championed the use of digital technologies in the heritage field. With the recent launch of the CyArk 500 project to digitally preserve 500 heritage sites around the world in five years’ time, CyArk is taking our mission of using cutting-edge technologies to save the world’s heritage to the next level. We’re proud to call Oakland home base, and we’re so excited have our efforts recognized as a finalist in the Engineering and Design category, which is awarded to a nominee for the “use of science, math, or artistry to solve problems or plan or present something in a new way.”

The winners for each category will be announced at the awards ceremony on February 13 and all finalists will be profiled in the San Francisco Business Times supplement on February 14.
