This week in San Francisco's historic Presidio, CyArk will participate in the 3D Digital Documentation Summit hosted by the National Center for Preservation Technology and Training. The conference runs from July 10-12 and will cover a number of different technologies and case studies. CyArk will be leading a panel discussion on Thursday morning as well as providing technology demonstrations Thursday afternoon.

The premise for the panel is below:

With the growing use of 3D technologies within the heritage sector, many new challenges are arising around the accessibility, curation and storage of this information.

The roundtable session will be moderated by CyArk and will include participants from outside the cultural heritage field. CyArk will draw on its wide network of partners to field a panel of experts in digital data management.  The session will discuss the challenges facing the cultural heritage field and what can be learned from past experiences in the commercial fields. Discussion will cover available options for data management today, and provide insight into future developments within the field. The CyArk moderator will lead the discussion with selected questions for the panel but will also solicit questions from the audience.

This roundtable is designed to provide the conference attendees with a broader understanding of the challenges associated with digital data management as well as insights into solutions that may be on the horizon for the cultural heritage field.

The roundtable will take place in the Cypress Room of the Golden Gate Club of the Presidio of San Francisco.

We look forward to seeing you there!
