Last week CyArk travelled to Austin, TX to compete in SXSWEco’s Place by Design pitch competition. CyArk was one of five finalists in the Data + Tech category focused on projects that utilize emerging technology to connect people and place, or use data to generate impact.

Liz presented the CyArk 500 to five esteemed judges and the SXSW audience in a four minute pitch, 4 minute Q&A format.

Over the three day event we connected with a variety of new supporters and potential partners. Liz was crowned a local celebrity after her pitch and was ushered from one VIP party to the next.

Armed with mojitos in hand we took our seats at the awards ceremony anxiously awaiting the winners of the 3D printed white buffalo!

We are proud to announce our victory in the SXSWEco PXD competition! The judges could not decide on a winner in our category and we are happy to share this award with Synthesis Design + Architecture.
