Our new in-office volunteer staff includes: Monica Carr, an Anthropology student at Chabot College; Charisse Sare, a recent graduate with a degree in History from San Jose State University; and Lili Siegenthaler, who holds a degree in Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology.
Our new out-of-office volunteers include: Steven Donlin, who holds a degree in History and is using his years of 3D modeling experience to create highly precise surface models generated from the 3D point cloud data; Brian W. Roberts, a professional voice actor who has been dedicating his time and sound studio to provide us with professional quality voice-overs for our narrated videos; and Albert Bisaso Ssempeke, a traditional Bugandan musician who collaborated with us to bring our first-ever traditional music accompaniment to one of our information videos when he donated a musical piece by his father, the late Dr. Albert Ssempeke, royal flutist to the Kabaka (King of the Bugandan people).
We also plan to utilize Google’s Allforgood.org to bring aboard a few more volunteers as well as manage any future volunteer needs. We’ll be using Allforgood.org to fill our current need of a production artist, IT specialist, and additional CAD experts. Of course, we continue to welcome volunteers through the Volunteer page on our own website. If you are interested in volunteering in office, or remotely, we encourage you to contact us.
A warm welcome to the new members of the team, and heartfelt thank you to all our staff for their dedication to our mission!
