Jaigarh Fort

In 2024, the Center for Heritage Conservation at CEPT University and the Jaigarh Public Charitable Trust became the inaugural recipients of CyArk's Heritage Amplified Grant. Through this project, local partners and CyArk collaborated on a digitization initiative that culminated in a virtual tour showcasing the fort’s sophisticated water management systems—vital innovations that sustained it for centuries. Spanning seven stops, the tour explores the fort’s reservoirs, aqueducts, and rainwater harvesting techniques, highlighting Jaigarh’s dual role as a formidable military stronghold and a model of sustainable water conservation in Rajasthan’s arid landscape.
